It’s time to R.O.C.K. In The U.S.A. like never before; it’s a chance to absolutely Let It All Hang Out - a Lonely Ol’ Night or Wasted Days it definitely won’t be, only an unparalleled experience that Hurts So Good!
It’s been many years since John Mellencamp hit the road with a feast of his best hits, and 2026 is going to be it! It’s all the music the die-hard fans want to hear and love; it’s rocking numbers and ballads from the rock icon’s over five-decade long career; it’s all the “common man” anthems that can turn even the toughest naysayer’s head; it’s a well-curated setlist that can only come with years of experience, and if we are lucky, we might hear some of his newer bangers too. Dancing Words Tour - The Greatest Hits is slated to kick off in early July 2026 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, making stops in Shakopee, Cincinnati, Holmdel, Bristow, Alpharetta, and Phoenix among others before wrapping up in mid-August 2026 in Mountain View, California.
John Mellencamp hit the music scene with a force in the mid-1976, but catapulted right to stardom in the early 1980s with a string of chart-topping hits, including Hurts So Good, Crumblin’ Down, Jack & Diane, Pink Houses, Lonely Ol’Night, Small Town, R.O.C.K. In The U.S.A., Cherry Bomb, and Paper In Fire. The powerhouse performer with the signature raspy voice took the world by storm, holding the record as the solo artist with the most number one songs on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. To date, he has won a Grammy Award alongside twelve nominations, a Classic Songwriter Award from Q Awards, a Woody Guthrie Prize, an ASCAP Founders Award, an Americana Lifetime Achievement Award, and the John Steinbeck Award, among others, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018.
