Roll up, roll up… country icon Whiskey Myers has broken silence on a huge concert trail. The What We Were Born to Do Tour is taking over The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas, on Saturday 27th September 2025, and you’re invited! The show is already touted as the most exciting country event this year. The What We Were Born to Do Tour will feature special guests Dexter and The Moonrocks and Landon Smith.
Since they erupted onto the scene back in 2007, the genre-defying group has rocked over 2,500 live shows, with each crowd bigger than the last. And we expect this show to be even bigger!! The sextet are touring vets. They were even personally picked to open The Rolling Stones’ Chicago stadium performance in 2019. If you didn’t already know, the inanely talented band is made up of Cody Cannon (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica), John Jeffers (lead guitar, slide guitar, lap steel, vocals), Cody Tate (lead guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals), Jeff Hogg (drums), Tony Kent (percussion, keyboards), and Jamey Gleaves (bass guitar). Known and loved around the world for their gritty Southern rock sound which blends country, blues, and rock, Whiskey Myers has built a loyal following with hits like “Stone,” “Ballad of a Southern Man,” and “Broken Window Serenade.” The Texas-based band know just how to rock the crowd, with their high-octane tunes!
This Abilene, Texas group are true trailblazers on the scene. Dexter and The Moonrocks have pioneered a unique fusion dubbed “Western Space Grunge.” Their one of a kind sound combines elements of red-dirt country and alternative rock. Their fan-favorite tracks include “Couch,” “Bleach,” and “Sad in Carolina” .
Landon Smith is another country heavyweight featuring on the star-studded bill. The Americana singer-songwriter promises to bring his heartfelt storytelling and acoustic-driven songs to the stage.
